Africa is the second largest and second most populous continent on Earth. The continent of Africa includes the island of Madagascar. Africa's population is the youngest among all continents with most Africans being 19 years old or younger.

  • The Orlando Power Station is a decommissioned coal-fired power plant in Soweto, South Africa.  The cooling towers were painted for the 2010 FIFA World Cup.  The cooling towers are now a tourist destination where you can pay to ride a power swing between the two towers or jump inside one from the 300 foot top rim.

  • Mandela House or the Nelson Mandela National Museum is where Nelson Mandela lived from 1946 to 1962.  Mandela House is located in Soweto, South Africa.  It was declared a National Heritage Site in 1999.

The horns are big business on the black market especially in Vietnam.  Rhino horns are ground up and consumed by some humans who believe they have therapeutic properties.

  • Mayotte is an overseas region of France.  It is located off the coast of Southeast Africa between Madagascar in the northern Mozambique Channel in the Indian Ocean.

  • Paradise Island or Santa Carolina is one of five islands in the Bazaruto Archipelago of Mozambique.  Paradise Island was a very popular honeymoon destination in the 1960s.

The tusks are used for digging up roots and stripping bark from trees for food.  Tusks are also used for fighting and defending themselves.
